Formed in 1996 under the name ZARATHUSTRA, the band eventually evolved into the monster known as DETRIMENTUM. Recorded over a two-year period, "Embracing this Deformity" "exhibits the band's exceptional depth and maturity in compositions whereby they craft an unconventional mix of old-school death metal combined with sweeping guitar melodies, expansive doom passages and tortured vocals," according to a press release.
